Semilinear wave equations with nonmonotone nonlinearity

We analyze the existence and regularity of solutions to semilinear wave equations without resonance and nonmonotone nonlinearity. Sufficient conditions for existence of continuous solutions are presented as well as cases where continuous solutions do not exist despite the high regularity of the equation.
