Embeddings of Symmetric Products and Hyperspaces of Subcontinua

In this talk we present a characterization of locally connected continua, whose symmetric product can be embedded in its hyperspace of subcontinua, and a characterization of locally connected continua whose hyperspace of subcontinua can be embedded in the Euclidean Space R4.
