Recent Results on Vizing's Independence Number Conjecture on Edge Chromatic Critial Graphs

Let G be an edge chromatic critical graph with maximum degree D and n vertices. In 1968, Vizing conjectured that the independence number of G, a(G) ≤ [n/2]. In this talk, we will talk about recent progresses we made toward this conjecture. This is joint work with Yue Zhao from University of Central Florida.
