In this article, we compare suitable preconditioners for solving linear systems arising from the class of fourth-order approximations employed for solving hyperbolic partial differential equations, subject to appropriate initial and boundary conditions, where and are constants. Numerical results show that the proposed preconditioned methods produces an accurate and oscillation free solution.
