Description:
This conference ------ to be held in conjunction with the 14th Shanks Lectures---- will highlight significant recent developments in Modern Analysis and Classical Analysis. The aims of the conference are to bring together researchers working in a broad range of analysis, and provide a forum for the participants to meet and jointly explore unsolved problems of common interest in an informal atmosphere. The focus of the conference will be on operator algebras, operator theory, and harmonic analysis.

Speakers: he annual Shanks Lecture will be given by Bill Arveson of the University of California at Berkeley. In addition to, Arveson's talks, there will be invited plenary lectures by, Sheldon Axler, San Francisco State University, Sun-Yung Alice Chang, University of California at Los Angeles, Ronald Douglas, Texas A&M University, Donald Sarason, University of California at Berkeley, Sen-Yen Shaw, National Central University, Taiwan, Thomas Wolff, California Institute of Technology, Man-Wah Wong, York University, Canada, Jingbo Xia, State University of New York at Buffalo
