Aims of the conference:
to provide a forum for researchers to present latest research concepts;
for designers to share their experience in the use of design optimization tools
in real life applications enabling them to systematically improve quality of
engineering designs.
Conference topics: - multidisciplinary (e.g. coupled problems) design optimization - application of optimization tools to realistic engineering problems - integration of optimization tools in the design and manufacturing process - distributed computing in the design optimization and decision making processes - structural topology, shape and sizing optimization - design sensitivity analysis - numerical algorithms for optimization (gradient-based methods, approximation methods, evolutionary algorithms, etc.) - design of experiments (physical and computational) methodology
