Description:
The seventh International Conference on "Navier-Stokes and Related Nonlinear Problems" will be held in Ferrara, Italy on September 14-18, 1999. Along the tradition of the meeting, the objective is to present recent advances in the mathematical theory of the Navier-Stokes equations and related problems. These include fundamental topics such as existence, uniqueness and stability of motions for classical and nonlinear fluids, numerical and computational techniques, as well as applications to engineering and biomedical sciences. The program includes ten invited lectures and several twenty minutes contributed papers. In addition, five special sessions will be held on selected topics of great current interest. The seat of the Conference is the Aula Magna of the Department of Mathematics, University of Ferrara. The Organizing Committee wish as aim of this Conference to stimulate new ideas, new results, new cooperation and new friendship.
