The conference will address issues and themes similar to those presented at the previous three conferences. The aims of the conference are to provide a joint forum
for specialists in both Monte Carlo methods and quasi-Monte Carlo methods and to foster fruitful exchanges between theoreticians and practitioners of these and
related methods. Theoretical and pract ical aspects of the following themes will be emphasized:
* generation of random numbers and low discrepancy sequences * numerical integration, optimization and simulation * applications to physical sciences, engineering, finance and statistics
