The Department of Physics of the University of South Alabama and the Department of Mathematics of the
University of Southern Mississippi will be hosting the 8th Annual Mini-Conference on Undergraduate
Research in the Mathematical Sciences on Friday, February 5, 1999. This year the conference will be held at
the University of Southern Mississippi, all talks will be given in Southern Hall on the Hattiesburg campus.
In keeping with the tradition of these annual conferences, there will be a limited number of faculty talks and an emphasis placed on student presentations. Talks in all areas of Computer science, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics are welcome. In addition, faculty and students are particularly encouraged to attend.
