Description:
The aim of the workshop is to present recent developments on character formulae and decomposition numbers, in particular on Soergel's recent results and conjectures for characters of tilting modules for Kac-Moody algebras and quantum groups and on the Lascoux-Leclerc-Thibon conjecture on decomposition numbers for Hecke algebras at roots of unity. The first part of the workshop is a summer school, which is intended to prepare the participants for the second part. Active participation is required, but the summer school is open for non-experts who wish to learn the subject. The second part of the workshop will consist of series of lectures given by: H.H.
