Description:
The aim of the symposium is to promote research and utilization of statistical tools for quality improvement in industry. To achieve this the promotion of statistical tools has to be adequate and problem oriented and research on new statistical methods fulfilling quality improvement needs has to be institutionalized. Both areas will be addressed in the conference.

The symposium programme will include plenary sessions featuring recognized representatives from industry and academia within the area of industrial statistics. The targeted conference audience is a mixture of industry and academic delegates. Presentations will therefore focus on adding value for this audience. Suggested topics for the symposium include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
