Description:
The conference will be devoted to the analytic aspects of Lie group theory in connection with PDEs. It will serve as an introduction to this active field of mathematics for junior scientists (advanced graduate students or postdocs), as well as an exchange opportunity for specialists. At the core of the programme are six series of survey lectures (a series consisting of four lectures, each an hour long) designed to introduce and then elaborate upon a field of current activity. These series will be complemented by about 10 series of specialized talks (such a series consisting of two lectures, each an hour long). In addition to the formal lectures, there will be ample opportunity for informal tutorials and discussions.
