Description:
The workshop will focus on four topics from statistical physics where probabilistic methods have had and will continue to have an important impact: quenched disorder, hydrodynamic scaling, polymers, interfaces. Four expository mini-courses are intended to familiarize a broader audience with the main issues and recent developments in these areas. These will be supplemented by invited talks on recent results and by contributed short communications from members of both programs.

Speakers: E. Bolthausen, Ch. Newman, G. Slade, H.-T. Yau, G. Ben Arous, A. van Enter, V. Gayrard, O. Häggström, E. Olivieri, S. Olla, E. Orlandi, E. Scoppola, A. Stacey, J. Steif, A.-S. Sznitman
