Description:
Computers and computational sciences play an ever growing role in science, education and society. In order to improve the education of students in computational sciences, the ETH Zürich has started in 1997 a new two-year curriculum in computational sciences and engineering, which is carried by a number of research groups from various departments. The goal of the Workshop is to bring together researchers from different areas concerning computational sciences in order to offer students and researchers an impression of the state of the art of research and applications in computational sciences and engineering.
