A one-day symposium on the occasion of the 60th birthday of Marc Spijker will be held at Leiden University on Friday 21st May 1999. The aim of the symposium is to discuss both theoretical and practical aspects of numerical solution methods for initial value problems for ordinary and partial differential equations.
