Description:
Geometric considerations have dominated recent activity in both of these areas, which are linked by the themes of group actions and deformations. This symposium will focus on these two areas and these links, bringing together aspects of algebraic geometry, field theory, number theory, representation theory, topology, ring theory, and group theory.
