Organizers: Gilles Brassard (Montréal), Richard Cleve (Calgary)

Description:
The use of quantum mechanics for information processing purposes has the potential to bring about a spectacular revolution in computer science by harnessing phenomena that have no classical counterpart. The workshop will concentrate on computer science aspects of this emerging discipline: quantum computing, quantum cryptography, measures and uses of entanglement, quantum information theory.

Speakers: C. Bennett (IBM Research), A. Berthiaume (DePaul), T. Beth (Karlsruhe), G. Brassard (Montréal), , H. Buhrman (CWI, Amsterdam), R. Cleve (Calgary), C. Crépeau (McGill), D.
