Description:
There have been four EVEQ's at various places of former Czechoslovakia since 1984 till 1996 constituting a tradition we intend to pursue. The programme of EVEQ 2000 consists of a series of invited lectures and the participants will have an opportunity to present their results in a written form on posters. Titles of the lectures:

Parabolic equations and heat kernels: a functional approach by form methods; Two models from nonlinear optics; Well-posedness of the Navier-Stokes equations; Diffusion and cross-diffusion in pattern formation; A survey of the kinetic approach to conservation laws; Global existence for semilinear parabolic problems.
