Overview lectures on optimization in solid mechanics will be given by Martin Bendsoe, Mathematical Institute, The Technical University of Denmark, and on optimization in fluid mechanics by Olivier Pironneau, Analyse Numérique, Université Pierre & Marie Curie (Paris 6).
