Description:
This Symposium will focus on models and mathematical analyses that concern problems of equitable allocation in the public sector, broadly conceived.

Included are the design and analysis of electoral systems; applied social choice theory; the allocation of environmental obligations; the allocation of human organs; the allocation of public funds among its constituencies; the admission of students to universities or of applicants to government jobs and other public matching problems; the ranking of candidates for positions or competitors for standings, etc.
