Description:
This seminar is addressed to researchers, teachers and students interested in current developments in phylogenetic
analysis. The speakers will each address one or two major areas and there will be ample time for comparison, debate
and discussion. Some of the themes will be: efficient methods for very large phylogenies, model-based versus model-free
approaches, tree inference with and without ancestor reconstruction, generalizations of trees. Software packages will be
available on-line and there will be facilities for demonstrations and hands-on experimentation.
