Description:
A new project for adanced high-performance computing facilities is being conducted in Japan and US. Corresponding to these hardware development programs, we have to enhance an activity on the software development. For this purpose, the first Workshop on Next - generation climate models for advanced high performance computing facilities was held at Honolulu in March 1999. We decided to have the second Workshop on Next-generation climate models for advanced high performance computing facilities. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the following points;

1) What is the next generation climate model suitable for these advanced computing facilitiesNULL 2) What kind of processes, shemes and / or models are necessary for the next generation modelNULL 3) How to do in order to achieve these goalsNULL
