The emphasis of the workshop is on the combination of formal precision, a methodical approach and practicality of the results in the construction of parallel programs - in the spirit of MPC 2000, the conference proper. This includes topics like:

cost models; formal models and methods of parallel programming; hardware-software codesign; high-performance computing; parallel functional programming; parallel logic or constraint logic programming; parallel object-oriented programming; skeletons.
