The CILAMCE Conference is aimed to create a forum where engineers and researchers can exchange information on the
topics of computational methods and systems in the solution of engineering problems. The use of computational methods in
engineering has been increasing continuously over the last few decades and it represents nowadays a major tool to solve
engineering problems. Since 1977 when the first CILAMCE Conference was held in Rio de Janeiro, it has played a very
important role in the dissemination of the most recent developments on computational methods in engineering among the
engineers and researchers of the Iberian Latin American community.
