Description:
The school is intended for graduate-level students in Mathematical Physics, Analysis, Mechanics, Materials Science. It will give short overviews of the following subjects, highlighting some current research problems:

Electron microscopy of crystalline materials; Crystallography and constitutive theory; Passage from atomic to continuum theory; Symmetry-breaking phase transitions and analysis of microstructure.
