Large complex mathematical models are currently used in various fields of science. The terminology differs from field to field. The fitting of large models to data is called calibration, history matching or data assimilation, which are all synonymous to parameter estimation. The workshop has special focus on applications in economics and in fisheries science. Participants with a theoretical interest and/or interests in other fields of application are welcomed as well.
