Description:
The use of high performance computations to analyze and simulate electromagnetic phenomena is
increasing in industry and science. The fast development of the field has become possible thanks to new
accurate and efficient numerical methods and more powerful computers. Today a wide range of methods
such as FDTD, FETD, FVTD, MoM, GTD, UTD, and combinations of them in hybrid methods are used in
a large number of applications such as calculation of wave propagation, radar cross section,
electromagnetic compatibility, lightning damages, antenna geometries, bioelectromagnetic effects,
inverse scattering, and microwave components.
Parallel and Scientific Computing Institute (PSCI) and the Department of Scientific Computing invite to a workshop on computational electromagnetics at Uppsala University in Uppsala, Sweden, on December 4-5, 2000, for presentation of the latest development in the field and to gather the CEM community. There will be a number of invited lectures and contributed papers given by the participants.
