Description:
Representatives of these diverse groups have come together to organize SAGEEP 2001 and have set ambitious objectives for the meeting:

To address how geophysical surveys for infrastructure engineering can mitigate design changes and cost overruns during construction, and can avoid hazards in excavation, tunneling and trenchless technology. To demonstrate how the continuity in subsurface information provided by geophysical airborne, ground and borehole surveys, result in better calibrated models for ground water flow, risk analysis, wellhead protection, contaminant migration, and soil salinity. To communicate to users the state-of-the-art and the state-of-practice of environmental and engineering geophysics through joint workshops and technical sessions.

Date received: September 28, 2000
