There is a continuing and growing need for techniques to determine the characteristics of particles in science, industry
and the environment. Optical methods are among the most powerful and they are capable of rapid on-line and in situ
measurement. The aim of this meeting is to discuss new developments for the optical determination of particle size,
shape, structure and composition.
