The aim of the Cell Wall Meetings is to bring together scientists from all horizons whose research
deals with any aspect of plant cell walls. The philosophy of these meetings is that they are completely open;
there are no invited speakers, no-one gets their expenses paid, they are run on a non-profit basis, and
everyone who attends can present either a short talk or a poster. The consequence is that the program is
denser than in other meetings, and the talks are shorter. The organisers of the 9th Cell Wall Meeting are
commited to keep that tradition alive.
