Organized Sessions / Satellite Workshops will be organized during the scientific program of the Conference in order to address the present state of art and to find solutions to wind engineering problems in the 21st century: These sessions / workshops will focus on the following topics:

Organized Sessions: -Disaster mitigation & insurance (Organizer: Prof. T.Ohkuma ) -Wind energy (Organizer: Dr. I.Ushiyama)

2nd International Workshops on Codification for Wind Loads (to be held on Oct. 21 or 25 at the Conference venue) (Organizer: Dr. J.D.Holmes)

Satellite Workshop (to be held on Oct. 25 at the Conference venue) IWEF Workshop on Development of Advanced Technologies for Wind Hazard Mitigation (Chairman: Prof. A. Kareem)

Speakers: Invited lectures by the distinguished scientists who are actively leading their major fields are scheduled, in the scientific program in the Conference, Professor A.Kareem (USA), "Probabilistic and statistical approaches for wind effects", Professor R.Kimura (Japan), "Numerical weather forecasting", Professor C.W.Letchford (Australia), " Comparing and contrasting boundary layer winds traditionally modeled in wind tunnels with, ¡Ænon-boundary layer winds¡Ç", Professor T.Miyata (Japan), "Significance of aero-elastic relationship in wind resistant design of long-span bridges", Dr. P.Soerensen (Denmark), " Wind energy (tentative)", Professor G.Solari (Italy), " Analytical methods for estimating the wind-induced response of structures", Professor H.F.Xiang (China), "Refinements on aerodynamic analysis of super long-span bridges"
