The 2001 Northeast Conference Reports will explore the changing contexts and practices in our field that move us beyond
the boundaries of the past. This volume, provided to all conference attendees, will include stimulating chapters on
FLES, study abroad, technology, heritage learners, teacher recruitment, connections with the community and the
professions, and research directions.
