Description:
The workshop will include space for a limited number of posters. The organising committee is thus seeking poster abstracts that address topics within the workshop theme. These might include, for example, posters that treat: potential roles of prosody in language production, language understanding or language acquisition; the relationship of prosody to syntax or semantics; interaction between prosody and other components of language; or the role of prosody within the architecture of the language faculty.

Papers based on the posters presented at the workshop will be eligible for inclusion in the workshop proceedings. The workshop will also include papers given by invited speakers, in sessions entitled "Prosody and modularity," "Prosody and syntax," "Prosody and interpretation," and "Prosody and acquisition."

Speakers: Anne Christophe (Lab de Sci Cognitives et Psycholinguistique); Anne Cutler (Max Planck, Institute-Nijmegen); Janet Dean Fodor (CUNY); Lyn Frazier (UMass-Amherst); Carlos Gussenhoven (Katholieke, Universiteit Nijmegen); Marina Nespor (U di Ferrara); Ardi Roelofs (Max Planck Institute-Nijmegen); Lisa Selkirk, (UMass-Amherst); Stefanie Shattuck-Hufnagel (MIT); Hubert Truckenbrodt (MIT/Rutgers); Jocelyn Cohan (UiL-OTS), Herman Hendriks (UiL-OTS) and Frank Wijnen (UiL-OTS)
