Description:
This is the second IMA conference on wind-over-waves, which follows the successful first meeting held at Salford in 1997. The conference address issues in ocean wave processes and their relation to oceanography and meteorology and to engineering. Sessions will address air-sea interaction, ocean wave dynamics and forecasting, breaking waves, wave turbulence interactions and Langmuir circulations. Contributions that report new theoretical work, numerical modelling, laboratory measurements and field observations are all welcome. The conference will come immediately after a three-week programme on surface water waves to be held at the Isaac Newton Institute, Cambridge, and it is hoped that new results arising from this programme will also be reported.

Date received: December 21, 2000
