Description:
ATCM 2001 is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for teachers, researchers, educators and decision makers around the world in the fields of mathematics and mathematical sciences. It also provides a venue for researchers and developers of computer technology to present their results in using technology in both basic research and pedagogical research, and to exchange ideas and information in their latest developments. The conference will cover a broad range of topics on the relevancy of technology in mathematical research and teaching. These include, but are not limited to:

Applications of computer algebra (systems) in research and teaching

Multimedia, computer-aided and distance in learning and teaching

Applications of graphing calculators in mathematical sciences.

Mathematical research and teaching using technology

Mathematical tools and World Wide Web technology

Implementation of technology in education from K12 to University level

Assessment of implementation of technology in education

The conference will consist of plenary sessions by invited speakers, parallel sessions of contributed papers, and tutorial sessions on software and hardware relevant to research and teaching. Books, software and hardware may also be on display.
