Description:
Land management and soil protection for future generations are the priority tasks of Croatian soil scientists in local and international muldisciplinary and interdisciplinary research projects. Therefore, the major objective and purpose of this Congress is to gather all relevant and interested scientists and professionals, in order to prepare scientific and professional inventories, public promotion, exchange of opinions and to discuss application of recent discoveries in soil science. Respecting the program principles summarized in the framework topics of the Congress, we expect the results of research in the domain of soil genesis and evolution, soil classification and mapping, in soil physics, hydropedology, soil chemistry, microorganisms and microbiological processes in soil, plant nutrition, soil fertility, soil and water conservation, soil tillage, drainage, irrigation, evaluation of soil quality for multipurpose use, land reclamation and protection, soil monitoring in natural and anthropogenic ecosystems, application of GIS and computer modelling and information systems in soil science.
