Description:
The quest for a unified theory of all fundamental interactions (electroweak, strong
and gravitational) has entered a crucial phase. The phenomenological studies of
possible signals of new physics, at particle accelerators and elsewhere, have reached
a high level of technical development and reliability, especially in the field of
supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model, but still lack some firmer guiding
principles.
