Description:
Tumors derived from B-cells are common in man. The tumors represent clonal amplifications of B cells arrested at various stages of differentiation and have quite specific genetic alterations. The most common childhood leukemia, and the chronic lymphocytic leukemia of adults, belong to this category of tumors. Also the most common lymphomas and multiple myeloma are important examples of B-cell tumors.
