Description:
Endocytosis is a process allowing cells to exchange
molecules and particles with the external milieu. It
is involved in key physiological functions ranging
from getting nutrients, immune response and antigen
presentation, neural transmission, cell growth and
its regulation, development and also in infections
by viruses, some bacteria and parasites.
