July 4-6, 2002

Auckland, New Zealand

Mathematics

Host: UNITEC
Homepage: http://www.unitec.ac.nz/bridging/index.html

Description:
The Australasian Bridging Mathematics Network was established to provide a support group for all teachers of bridging mathematics and statistics, to include practitioners sharing ideas and researchers sharing findings. Members of the network come from a variety of institutions and teach in a variety of settings. They range from university lecturers involved in teaching pre-tertiary mathematics for service courses, to those involved in teaching numeracy skills to industrial workers.

The conference provides an interactive forum for the presentation of ideas and results in the teaching of bridging mathematics, and the chance to meet and mix with others in this area. The conference has traditionally maintained an informal atmosphere.
