Aims:
From its beginning, in 1984, this conference became an important project for the establishment of close relations between Iberian Higher Education Institutions. The current edition, organised by the Department of Management and Economics of the University of Beira Interior, intends to further promote the development of scientific research within the framework of entrepreneurial sciences in both countries.
Areas: Strategic Management and Competitiveness (GE); Production Management and Quality (PQ); Innovation and Development (ID); Internationalisation of Firms (IE); Marketing (MK); Mathematics applied to Management (MG); Human Resources (RH); Information Systems and Technology (SI).
Call for Papers: The call for papers ends on 30 October 2001. Those interested in presenting a communication within the framework of one of the scientific areas of the conference shall submit an abstract for evaluation until that date (according to the format rules shown below). Each author cannot submit more than two works and can only be the main author of one. The abstracts shall be sent exclusively by e-mail to: gestaocientifica@fenix.ubi.pt . The notification of acceptance shall also be sent exclusively to author’s e-mail. Should it be approved, the paper (full text) shall be delivered until 15 January 2002. The authors shall send a full text copy both in digital format to the conference e-mail and a printed version to the Organising Committee. Both copies shall follow the format rules shown below. The organisers take no responsibility in including in the conference proceedings, papers that have been accepted but received later than 15 January 2002. It is to be noted that the papers shall only be definitely accepted after the author(s) and the co-author(es) have formalized their inscription in the Conference. The presentation of the papers shall not exceed 10 minutes. Rules for submitting abstracts
The abstracts shall be processed in Word for Microsoft Office. The page size is A4; side margins (left and right): 2,5 cms; top and bottom margins: 2,5 cms; line spacing: single (1). Justified text. The first paragraph shall include the scientific area code in which the topics of the communications are inserted, in Times New Roman font, 10, normal, aligned to the left. The second paragraph shall include the title of the communication in upper-case characters, Times New Roman font, 12, bold and aligned to the left.
