Description:
The Human Genome Project and advances in technology led to a huge amount of
genetic data. However, there is still limited knowledge of the underlying biological
mechanisms and functionalities. Modelling and analyzing such problems is extremely
complex and requires advanced and novel statistical techniques. The meeting will
bring together state-of-the-art researchers in the following topics:
Biological Sequence Analysis; Analysis of Microarray Data; Genetic Epidemiology of Complex Diseases; Population Genetics and Evolutionary Trees.
