Description:
The aim will be to cover the various ramifications of Andrew Casson's original
construction. Among the topics to be covered are: Casson invariants for SU(n)
and SL(2,C), Casson invariants for knots and manifolds with groups actions,
relations to Seiberg-Witten invariants and other invariants, applications
in low-dimensional Topology, Casson type invariants in Complex Geometry.
