Description:
Geometric algebra is a powerful mathematical language built on the work of the 19th Century mathematician William Clifford (once a fellow of Trinity College). The subject has been developed steadily over the last 100 years and is now routinely applied to problems in gravitation, quantum theory, dynamics, camera vision and computer graphics. The focus of the meeting will be to bring together researchers in different disciplines (physics, engineering and computer science) to share their insights into the advantages and applications of geometric algebra. The programme will include sessions on relativity and gravitation, multiparticle quantum theory and entanglement, projective and conformal geometries, and applications in engineering and computer science. There will also be an exhibition about the life and works of William and Lucy Clifford by Roy and Monty Chisholm.
