The Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry, based at the University of Limerick, is pleased to be hosting the next 62nd European Study Group with Industry, the first to be held in Ireland.
Study groups provide an opportunity to make links with both industrial and academic researchers from across Europe through working on industrial problems throughout the week. The study group will follow the usual format: industrial representatives will present their current technical problems for study by mathematicians in working groups throughout the week. Problems may come from a wide variety of subject areas but particular fields of interest in Ireland are glass production, food sciences, electronics, medical devices, financial mathematics and drinks production.
Full-board accommodation will be provided to all participants on campus. The University of Limerick is easily accessible with Shannon Airport just a thirty-minute taxi ride from the campus.
