Description:
The workshop will concentrate on modern aspects of PDE using analytical and geometric methods, including recent developments in the Calculus of variations, systems of conservation laws, and transport equations. A number of applications will be considered, such as continuum mechanics, especially nonlinear elasticity, the structure of materials, and biomaterials. The speakers at the workshop are of the highest international calibre, ranging from two Fields Medalists to outstanding young researchers.
