This summer school will be an occasion for graduate students and young researchers to learn some of the latest developments in these rapidly developing fields of analytic number theory and diophantine approximation and eventually contribute to them.
The lecture series will be aimed at graduate students and young researchers who are invited to apply for funding. It will be an occasion for them to learn some of the latest developments in these rapidly growing research areas and eventually make contributions. However, others are also welcome to attend.
The dates of the summer school have been chosen so that the participants can go to Waterloo afterwards to attend the tenth conference of the Canadian Number Theory Association that will take place during the week of July 13-18, 2008.
Talks will begin the morning of June 30 and end midday on July 11.
