Description:
MA Healthcare in association with British Journal of Hospital Medicine is delighted to offer you the opportunity to join us for this special 2-day clinical skills training course. Clinicians working with people with eating disorders know only too well that there is currently no “one size fits all” therapy, so that a range of techniques and types of intervention are a necessary part of any versatile therapist’s toolkit.
We have an excellent line up of presenters, all well known for the high quality of their teaching as well as their clinical knowledge and expertise. We have selected novel treatment approaches so that delegates can build on and extend their current skills repertoire. Our aim is for delegates to be able to select two of five different training tracks and participate in an intensive 1-day course in each.
Our expert presenters are:
• Bryan Lask, Emeritus Professor, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Great Ormond Street Hospital and University of London, Visiting Professor and Research Director, Oslo University Hospital, Norway
• Rachel Bryant-Waugh, Joint Head, Feeding and Eating Disorders Service, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer, University College London
• Janet Treasure, Joint Head, Eating Disorders Specialist Inpatient and Outpatient Services, South London and Maudsley, UK
• Kelly Vitousek, Associate Professor of Psychology and Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry, University of Hawaii
• Stephen Wonderlich, Chester Fritz Distinguished University Professor, University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences, USA
• Øyvind Rø, Psychiatrist, Oslo University Hospital, Norway
We have chosen a wonderful venue and are looking forward to a stimulating two days with time for informal discussion and relaxation with like-minded colleagues.
