Obstetrics and Maternal Care will bring together leading experts in the field to discuss the current issues in obstetrics and the practical management of medical complications in pregnancy
It is anticipated that participants will benefit from:
• Comprehensive overview of recent achievements and future challenges in maternity services in the UK
• Insights into management of pregnancy in the older woman and in young people
• Understanding of the management of medical complications in pregnancy, including hypertensive disorders, placental complications, severe anaemia and respiratory complications
• Insights into current issues on the labour ward including treatment of major obstetric haemorrhage, induction of labour, the use of misoprostol and intrapartum pain control
• Discussion about whether VBAC should be encouraged or avoided
