III CONGRESO IBEROAMERICANO DE TOPOLOGIA Y SUS APLICACIONES (III Iberoamerican Conference on Topology and its Applications) Gandia, Spain 7-9 April 1999 The "Escuela Universitaria de Gandia (Universidad Politecnica de Valencia)" is organizing the "III Congreso Iberoamericano de Topologia y sus Aplicaciones" (III CITA) to be held from 7 to 9 April 1999, in Grao de Gandia (Gandia Beach), Spain. The Conference is mainly devoted to General Topology and contains the following sections: Fuzzy Topological Structures, General Sessions, Quasi-Uniform Spaces and Theoretical Computer Science (special session dedicated to the 75th anniversary of professor A. Csaszar), Set-Theoretic Topology, and Topological Dynamics. The Conference will consist of 6 invited talks and 20-minute contributed talks in parallel sessions, and will also include a special invited talk by Professor A. Call for Papers Participants are invited to present a twenty-minute talk. Abstracts must be received by 25 February 1999. Registration Fee: The fee for the III CITA is 17.000 pesetas if you register before 25 February 1999 and 22.000 pesetas after that date. This amount covers organization expenses, welcome reception, coffee-breaks during the sessions as well as the Conference dinner on Friday, and any other social event the committee may organize. If you prefer not to attend the Conference dinner, the fees are 12500 pesetas before 25 February 1999 and 17500 pesetas after that date. The payment must be carried out by bank transfer to Bancaja bank (code swift CVALESVV), account number 2077-0222-98-1101623424, stating "III CITA". (Please, do not forget to indicate name of sender and keep a copy of the transfer). Dinner tickets for accompanying persons can be purchased at Conference Registration at the price of 4500 pesetas. Current exchange rate: 1 US$ is 150 pesetas. From 1 January 1999, EU citizens should pay the conference fee in euros. Accommodation Participants and accompanying persons that desire it, will be hosted at the Hotel Bayren I (****) located by the sea, at a 15-minute walk from the Conference Hall. The hotel rates are 6530 pesetas per day per person in a double room half board, and 7815 pesetas full board. The extra charge for a single room is 2330 pesetas per day. These fees are valid from April 5 to 12. The payment will be carried out directly to the hotel during the stay (Credit cards are welcome). Proceedings The organizing committee is taking the necessary steps to publish the papers presented in the Conference in a Mathematics Journal. In that case, papers will be submitted to a referee. Registration and Next Announcement The next announcement (last one) will be sent by 10 December 1998. It will include the registration and hotel reservation forms.
